2012 is Filling Up!

I'm certainly filling up my calendar for 2012! This morning I heard back from CQJP, and I've been accepted, so that's set for 2012. And I signed up for 21 - that's TWENTY-ONE - genealogy webinars by the Southern California Genealogical Society that will be presented in 2012.

I attended a couple of their annual Jamboree seminars that they broadcast live last year, and they were excellent, so I'm very excited about the upcoming series. I've been plodding away at the history of my family for many decades, now. A huge breakthrough was made last March when I finally found the townland of my Irish ancestors on my mother's side. I'd only been looking for it for forty years.

This is my typical "look".

I have so many DIY, sewing and other craft supplies that it's actually embarrassing. So far, I've been very good at collecting the needed items, not so good at using them, except for home repairs and the occasional pillow cover.

Time has been a huge factor in that. My Lifelove had a stroke at a fairly young age, many years back, that left him mostly paralyzed on his right side, and also led to more of the work load of our life being carried by yours truly, which takes up more time. He's totally worth it, and some time has opened up from other responsibilities being on hold for awhile, so it's time to make some things!

But where to start? Maybe a blog would help focus energies more, and act as an inspiration? As I write this, I have no idea how that will help, but it seems like a first step that might lead to other steps.

I enjoy DIY, sewing, needlework, genealogy, and about a bazillion other things, so, well, who knows, really, what this will end up being. I hope something good!
